meet... Noxolo (Chillies) Zwane

NZ aka Chillies, completed her B:Tech in the department last year and is currently enrolled to do her Masters in Photography. NZ is also working as an assistant to well known Durban Photographer Val Adamson.

I asked Chillies 10 questions...  
and this is what she had to say:

1:   What does Photography mean to you?
 Photography for me, is an alternative way of expressing and communicating any thoughts and ideas I have visually.






2. What genre of Photography are you passionate about? Why?
I am most passionate about Nude photography, as i am most intrigued by the way the human body evolves. And I am also hoping to make people appreciate themselves and become comfortable with how they look.



3. What aspects of Photography do you love?
Every aspect of it, as long as I have creative freedom.



4. What aspects of Photography do you find challenging?
Please elaborate on this question.


5. Where do you find inspiration?
 Everywhere around me: Music (click to see entry on Chillie's music inspiration), Conversation, Colors, Phrases, the works themselves.




6. If you could share one thing with others who are also interested in Photography what would it be?
Seek yourself first, and the rest will follow.


7. Name Photographers that have influenced you.

10. What advice would you give students who are embarking on studying to become professional Photographers? 
Be true to yourself and always keep an open mind.
